Festival Foods and Community Involvement

One of Festival’s five core values is Community Involvement. Involvement and giving back started with my grandfather, Paul, and continued with my dad, Dave.  I’ve seen first-hand the positive impact we can have when we get involved. That’s why continuing the tradition is important to me. I wanted to share with you some of things that Festival Foods has been involved with this summer:

We kicked off the summer season with sponsorships of the La Crosse Fitness Festival, the Eau Claire Marathon, and the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon in May. These three events combined local community members with people from all over the state, country and world with a focus on health.

June was the beginning of the music event season. We were fortunate enough to sponsor Country USA, Country Fest, Lifest, Rock Fest and Country Jam this year. These events are fun for the tens of thousands who attend and are great for local economies.

What would July be without fireworks? We were honored to add Suamico, Appleton and Manitowoc to the list of communities sponsored, while continuing the sponsorship tradition in Green Bay, Eau Claire, Marshfield and Oshkosh. Being part of the community celebrations that recognize those in the military who gave – and give – so much for our freedom makes us proud.

Yesterday, Festival hosted the annual Grocers on the Green Golf Outing. The money raised at the event benefits a variety of community organizations including The Einstein Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing science education in local schools.

I hope you had a chance to attend one of the events listed above, but if not be sure to join us for our annual Turkey Trot coming up on Thanksgiving Day. Information about that event, as well as some fun photos from other events this summer, can be found on our Facebook page. Once you’re there you can click “Like” to receive updates from us.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!
