Big Changes in our Frozen and Dairy Departments

Skogen’s Festival Foods prides itself on being Wisconsin’s leading and most innovative grocer. In order to live up to a statement like that we are constantly looking for ways to improve your overall shopping experience. There are numerous ways to be innovative in a grocery store… from the marketing and advertising, in-store merchandising or being “green” to name just a few. Over the past few years we have been fortunate enough to build several stores from the ground up. These stores make some of our existing stores seem outdated because of all of the great ideas that are utilized in the new locations. Because of this we continue to invest back into our existing stores to keep them as current and up to date as possible.

I am very excited that we have given a facelift to the Frozen/Dairy departments in many of our older stores. Most of the open air cases are gone and have been replaced with upright cases with doors on them. Not only are the new doors more energy efficient but they also given you more choices by increasing the number of items we can carry. Depending on the store size we can now hold 200-400 more products!  The new energy efficient LED light bulbs really help you spot all of your old favorites and maybe find a few new ones.  Clean, bright cases and easy to locate items in a warmer aisle will really enhance your time spent shopping our aisles.

Being innovative, energy efficient and investing in our stores isn’t always easy and it is fairly expensive but we feel it’s the right thing to do. With the assistance of our great associates, Festival will continue to make upgrades and find innovative ideas to keep you coming back.  We hope that you enjoy the new changes as much as we do!
