 When planning our fall Front End Leadership meeting agenda, I wanted to include a fun team building activity that would allow us to get to know each other outside the typical work environment while allowing us to give back to others. The search for a volunteer opportunity for our group of 18 started at the On Sunday night, I joined 13 other Festival associates to help make a difference at the 46th Annual Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon. This is the 3rd year that I have volunteered to answer phones and have had the honor of presenting “the big check” which this year totaled $36,458 from the sale of Shamrocks at On my days off I feel like all I do is run, run, run! Although I do try and fit time in for a run on the treadmill, that’s not the running I am referring to. It’s the running from one place to another trying to complete as many tasks on my never ending “To Saying I do not like cold weather is an understatement. While many of us have this flexibility in our schedules, one job that does not stop for the weather is that of a Cart Runner. Hopefully you are all still on track with your New Year’s resolutions. It’s our associates that are downsizing. I love the holiday season, but preparing for the holidays takes time…and a lot of it! Our field, which started with over 100 baggers, had been narrowed down to the top four baggers from our Skogen’s Festival Foods stores. On September 22nd, the big day finally arrived!
