 When planning our fall Front End Leadership meeting agenda, I wanted to include a fun team building activity that would allow us to get to know each other outside the typical work environment while allowing us to give back to others. The search for a volunteer opportunity for our group of 18 started at the  I am a 4 year breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer at the age of 30, I turned 31 four days after having a double mastectomy. I had always thought that with all the cancer in my family I would someday get “it”, never did I think at 31 would  While I was growing up, some of the best times were around the old kitchen table. When I was a kid, being home by dinner meant you were home in time for chores before you ate dinner! Everyone had a job, from setting the table, to stirring the gravy- you didn’t just slide in and On Sunday night, I joined 13 other Festival associates to help make a difference at the 46th Annual Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon. This is the 3rd year that I have volunteered to answer phones and have had the honor of presenting “the big check” which this year totaled $36,458 from the sale of Shamrocks at  I recently volunteered to help with the 3rd Annual “Steppin’ Out In Pink “wine and beer tasting event in La Crosse and I was amazed at how wonderful it was so I wanted to share my experience.  Eau Claire, Wisconsin – (June 10, 2011) – At the 5th Annual Boys & Girls Club “Steak & Burger” dinner on May 26, Festival Foods was awarded the highest honor given by the Boys & Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley.
