 After a cool spring, we are finally getting close to having our produce departments full of locally grown products. We have many local growers in Wisconsin that we partner with us at Festival Foods and the weather has really been a challenge for them this year. Some of our growers deliver to only  Summer is here and the picnic season is in full swing! Potato salad and its many variations will be front and center for nearly every get together during the next 3 months. No matter what part of the Midwest you live in, I’m sure that you have eaten potato salad. Everyone has a family favorite  Specialty cheese is like taking an adventure to a new and wonderful place! I really enjoy making platters for guests coming over for cocktails before dining out or before a nice dinner at home. Everyone I know loves cheese! If you are a beginner with specialty cheeses, I would recommend starting with a caprese tray Well for those of us who are Green Bay Packer fans, February was an AWESOME month! Now that the Football Season is over and March Madness is upon us we can really start to look forward to Another year is in the books! I’m always amazed how quickly each year goes by and how much changes within a year’s time. From watching my daughters grow up, to the never ending grey hair reproduction on my head, to the changes that we implement within No matter where we turn in life we are always in relationships: at home, at work, and everywhere in between. I have been in retail for over 25 years and have had the opportunity to create many lasting relationships. There is an old saying, “The best part of the journey is those you meet along We just opened our latest store in Suamico and the single largest change took place in our Deli department. We flip-flopped the service area with our salad bar/hot bar island. The thought behind it was to showcase the area that we have the most creativity in merchandising and that we feel helps to separate us Because I reside in the great state of Wisconsin and the fantastic city of Green Bay, we are always on the edge of our seats waiting for the football season to arrive. No, not because we want to know if Brett Favre is retiring…again. Rather we are just pumped up about our own Green Bay Cheese: one of Wisconsin’s greatest resources. If you are from Wisconsin there are few things that are a given. First, you’re a Packer fan. Second, this is the Dairy State. And, third, you love cheese (hence the nickname: Cheeseheads)!
