 I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! We spent time with friends and family and even managed to get in a little skiing. Pictured is my husband Bob, son Riley, and daughter Ireland on the slopes. Winter is long in Wisconsin so we figure you might as well get outside and enjoy it! Crowded parking lots, busy malls and writing out all those Christmas cards…the holidays can be a very busy time! I try to take a breath and remember what the season is really all about. Don’t sweat the small stuff and, remember, you don’t have to do it all. I want to celebrate the little things Fall is such a wonderful time of year. After a busy summer, things just seem to slow down a bit. My high school son’s cross-country season has ended so he’s around home a bit more. I’m very thankful that he had an injury free, great season, in fact, his team went to state! It’s getting Every year we look forward to the Pumpkin Blowout at Festival Foods. My little pumpkin, Ireland, who is now 12, loves to go and so do I . We get up early so we can get first pick of the pumpkins as this is serious business and we need to find the perfect one. Festival Wow! Where did summer go? It seems to always fly by. We did have some great family time this summer. One of my favorites was a bike ride in Door County. It was such a blast with just the four of us hanging out together and those times are so precious. I sure hope we can This summer “The Cooking Mom” has turned into “The Grilling Mom”. It’s been a hot one and I’m trying to keep it all outside! I don’t want to heat up the kitchen, that’s for sure! We’ve also had a bunch of company this summer so I’ve been feeding lots of people.
